Hounslow Council has entered a joint-venture partnership with Ealing Council and the University of West London to deliver a 13.8 million sports hub in Gunnersbury Park.

The proposed sports hub at Gunnersbury Park

The sports facilities form part of a £50 million regeneration scheme to improve the Large Mansion, museum, sports provision, historic park landscape and other buildings in Gunnersbury Park, ahead of its 100th anniversary in 2026.

The university contributed £2 million towards the hub, enabling its students to use the planned multi-use sports centre and gym, two external floodlit artificial grass pitches, tennis courts, and cricket and football pitches.

Leader of Hounslow Council, Steve Curran said: "This is a very positive step towards ensuring that we provide a world-class facility that all can enjoy, and supports the council’s aim to promote active, healthier communities and enhance our wonderful green spaces for everyone to enjoy."
